There are bad boys and then there are the men of Devil’s Rock . . .

Some men come with a built-in warning label. Knox Callaghan is one of them. Danger radiates from every lean, muscled inch of him, and his deep blue eyes seem to see right through to Briar Davis’s most secret fantasies. But there’s one major problem: Briar is a nurse volunteering at the local prison, and Knox is an inmate who should be off-limits in every way.

Knox feels it too—a shocking animal magnetism that drives him to risk his own life to protect Briar’s. Paroled at last, he tries to resist her. She’s too innocent, too sweet, and she has no idea what Knox is capable of. But a single touch can lead to a kiss—and a taste . . . until the only crime is denying what feels so right . . .

This story wasn’t about a guy in prison that got framed. Nor, is it a story about a man trying to solve some problem with gangs when he gets out of prison. It is a story about a guy who made and has been paying for it ever since. Was this my favorite Sophie Jordan book? No. I can’t gush and love every book she writes. There wasn’t some big mystery or nonstop action. I didn’t end up hating this book it was just a sweet romance about two people learning to open up and find love. All Chain Up was a fast paced easy read that was what it was and nothing more: a decent read.

theCHIVE thumbs up k shrug maybe

Knox is not a nice guy nor is he a terrible guy either. Knox made a bad a decision when he was just a hot headed very young twenty something. He dragged his brother down along the path to destruction with him. Now years later, Knox serves out his sentence in prison just trying to survive day to day. He thinks he will die in prison. Until one day he saves the life the life a pretty nurse, a doctor, and gets released on parole for good behavior.

The beginning of this book is the most action packed scary part of the story. After Knox is released from prison the story is about forgiveness and moving on. It is just a sweet and oh so very sexy romance about two people learning they deserve happiness with each other. Knox has friend in prison who decides it is a good idea to help people kidnap someone very high profile. I think the next book in the series will have that element of mystery, conspiracies, and sexy fun times. I can’t wait to read the next book in the Devil’s Rock series.
