[ARC Review] The Fortunate Ones by R.S. Grey

I thought this book was going to be a romantic comedy.  Some sweet sexy fluffy romance that I would fly right through, you know brain candy.  For some people that is probably exactly what this story was for them.  For me, though this was a classic case of: it’s not you it’s me.  Because, in the end there was way too much angst for a story that is advertised as a romantic comedy.  Once I got over my initial disappointment, I actually liked The Fortunate Ones.  This story ended up being a decent read.  Not bad, not great, but not a waste of time either.  , The story starts off with Brooke a… Read more »

What can I say about Going Dark after finally getting through it? Well, Going Dark is not a bad story but it definitely wasn’t a fantastic story.  Going Dark was just an okay story. It is one of those military A-Team type stories I have read quite a few times. A platoon goes missing or is blamed when something goes on a mission. In the case of Going Dark it is they go “missing” and it is assumed they were all killed in action. All is not right on the mission and the survivors must go into hiding. So, Dean… Read more »

In the past two years I have become a huge Kristen Ashely fan.  I am not surprised that I didn’t just love this book.  I freaking loved this book!!! So, I am going to keep this review short and sweet to keep the gushing at a minimum.  The Time in Between was like Persuasion but done Kristen Ashley style.  Meaning it was about an alpha male that doesn’t like games.  And, a woman who is looking for her happily ever after.  Things are rocky in the beginning because they have a lot of baggage from the time in between.  Though, they never stopped… Read more »

*Warning* This review does not have any Fallen Heir spoilers but does contain some spoilers regarding the first three book in the Royals series.     Don’t hate me but Easton is not my favorite Royal.   I think Reed and Ella are and always be my favorite characters. I have always thought Easton was a self-absorbed entitled jerk. Sure, he connected with Ella and became someone she could trust and a brother she never had. But, Easton has addiction issues that stem from mental health issues. He needs professional help. I am not saying that as a negative thing…. Read more »
