I am big fan of Sophie Jordan’s adult romances. I knew this was a book I needed to read. Oh man, it was so good!     Set in fantasy world that has gone dark literally, Reign of Shadows was a book that was anything but boring. I really ended liking this book! For me the pacing was fast and the plot interesting. The story is about a girl named Luna who is blind but it is not a hindrance in a world filled with darkness. Luna has been in hiding all her life. She was raised in the safety… Read more »

I admit the first time I read The Mediator series I was not officially a teen but I was close enough to it. I freaking loved this series. I love Suze and Jesse. I love the Suze and her wacky ghost adventures. I can remember when the sixth book came out, my friend and I went to the book store that day. Then I proceeded to re-read the entire series because I wanted it all fresh when I got to what I thought would be the last book in one weekend. When I saw there would basically be a reunion… Read more »

[Audiobook Review] The Killing Jar by Jennifer Bosworth

I think this was one of those books I tried to read the Netgalley ARC of it but just couldn’t seem to get into it. I waited until the audiobook came out. I don’t know if was a different mindset or if I just really liked the narrator but I had no trouble finishing the audiobook. The Killing Jar is definitely one of those stories that for me you either like it or you don’t. It is this realistic horror fantasy wrapped up in a coming of age story. It is weird but at the same time strangely intriguing. The… Read more »

[Review] The Dark Days Club by Alison Goodman

I grew up on Regency era romance novels and YA supernatural thrillers. When I saw the description for The Dark Days Club I was like, “Yes, Please!” The Dark Days Club combines two of my favorite things a supernatural thriller set in Regency England.     The Dark Days is about a young woman who has just come out in high society and is in her first season. Lady Helen thinks her first season will be just like all the other young women who have come before her. Meaning it will be filled with balls, promenades in Hyde Park, and,… Read more »

I was so excited to read this book. I loved the Darkest Mind trilogy. Plus this book had time travel, pirates and cute boys. Sadly it didn’t live up to my expectations. I had such a hard time getting into this book that I ended up buying the audiobook. The story was so long that I know there times I zoned out. I was just expecting more excitement and swashbuckling times but instead was more like action, drone on and on, and then maybe a little more action again. I have to give Passenger three stars because it ended up… Read more »

[ARC Review] The Rogue Not Taken by Sarah Maclean

I like this book a lot but I have come to expect nothing less from a Sarah Maclean book. The Rogue Not Taken had everything I look for in a historical romance: hot chemistry, witty dialogue, and of course a romance that can make me smile with joy.     The Rogue Not Taken is about a young woman named Sophie. Her and her sisters are known as the Soiled S or the Dangerous Daughters because their names are always in the scandal sheets. Their father bought their way into the aristocracy. The best thing I can compare them to,… Read more »

[ARC Review] Thicker Than Water by Brigid Kemmerer

After I have had more time to think about how I feel after reading this book, I find myself giving it more of a 3 star rating than a 4 star. I felt that the story started out strong. It is about a guy named Thomas who can’t remember a thing about his mother’s murder. He meets up with Charlotte the only person in town to give him the time of day and they begin looking into the death of his murder. I like the idea of a who done it murder mystery with some sexy romance thrown in. I… Read more »

[Review] Wild Reckless by Ginger Scott

I have to admit that Wild Reckless was on my radar after I saw it as a nominee on Goodreads Choice Awards. Then I read the synopsis and I thought this was a book right up my alley. I am sure if you have read my reviews then you know by now that I am sucker for all things romance. Wild Reckless is about a new girl falling for the town bad boy. I don’t know it was a good story but I just felt it was pretty generic. After I spent time going over my thoughts I realized that… Read more »

I don’t know why but it took me a couple of tries to get into How to Seduce a Scot. I think I had to be in the right mind set to read this book. I discovered it is the right kind of book to read while on vacation a book that would help me relax. I needed a good romance that would provide that happy feeling that only a good happily ever after can provide. How to Seduce a Scot is definitely the kind of story I was looking to escape into while I was on a mini vacation…. Read more »

[Audiobook Review] Winter by Marissa Meyer

I think this review is going to be short and sweet. I am going to try to keep spoilers out of it. I have a feeling this review is going to into the ramblings of a fangirl. I loved Winter!!! There I said it. I don’t know if the majority will agree with me but I loved Winter. It was a long epic journey that ended just the way I wanted it to.     I love fairytales and sci-fi/fantasy.   What is there not love about a series that is like Once Upon a Time meets Stars Wars?  When I… Read more »
