Fry here! Release day for this bad boy! I’m happy to say that I’m finally back reading and reviewing. Did you miss me? I’m happy to say that this romance novel doesn’t skimp and delivers everything it says on the tin. There’s werewolf man pain, alpha male feels, a protagonist that’s on the larger side of the dress size spectrum, and TONS of sex. Whew. Over half of this 71 pages are sex. Being a serial, it suffers a bit from pacing, and a lot of the deeper plot elements are missing in order to make way for the more… Read more »

[ARC Review] All or Nothing at All by Jennifer Probst

I must admit I really like second chance romance stories. I know from experience that sometimes making a relationship work really is all about timing.  Why you might ask do I know about how a second chance at love can make all the difference?  Because, my parent’s love story was a second chance at love and they are still together to this day.  When I read the synopsis of All or Nothing at All I knew it was a story that I needed to read.   All or Nothing at All was a quick read that I devoured in days. … Read more »

[ARC Review] When It’s Real by Erin Watt

I don’t think I have stayed up all night reading a book in one sitting in a while. I have to say after my all night binge read, When It’s Real is fantastic!     I have to admit I really wanted to read this book because I love Erin Watt. I know the description sounds really cheesy almost like Justin Bieber fan fiction. I am here to say that this book is super good and super addictive. I fell in with Vaughn and Oakley so much that I could not this book down. Even though this book is about… Read more »

[Review] Optimists Die First by Susin Nielsen

I liked Optimists Die First but I didn’t love it was a solid 3.5 star read. It is a story about grief. It is a story about the guilt we feel after grief. It is a story about the coping mechanisms we develop to deal with grief. I think the story handles the grief aspect very well. Because, one thing is for certain grief changes a person. I will get personal for a minute. When I was 11 my grandpa was diagnosed with cancer. For three years I watched him try to fight it, struggle with and eventually die from… Read more »

OMG this book is amazing!!! Like if my life didn’t get in the way I would not have put this book down amazing!!!!  I can not express how much I loved this book but I will try.     I loved Marco and he might have made a book boyfriend list I may or may not have.         The Lovely Reckless is sexy, a tear jerker, and most of all a fantastic story!!! What I loved most about this book was the message: save yourself because you are the only who can. It has been a year… Read more »

[ARC Review] The Diabolic

I have to say, for a book with such a simple premise, it sure went pear shaped quickly and continued to do so without fully righting itself. We open on a small, biologically engineered girl named Nemesis. Though, what form of monster picked that name for a small girl, I will never know. Were this a Robin Hobb book, I would consider that quite an ill omen, especially considering what form the end of the book takes. Did they just throw a bunch of adjectives in a pool and pull one out? All Diabolics seem to be named according to… Read more »

[ARC Review] Hell Breaks Loose by Sophie Jordan

I love Sophie Jordan and I will read anything she writes!!! I liked Hell Breaks Loose but sadly I didn’t love this book. It started out as something I thought I would absolutely love but it ended up just being okay.   The President’s daughter is kidnapped. Grace is being held by a bunch of low life goons. Reid has just escaped prison to kill the man who sent him there. Of course, I don’t really need to explain where the story is going from here. It is one of those the enemy of my enemy type stories. Reid has… Read more »

I don’t how Kasie West does it but she always manages to write these cute romances that leave my heart all a flutter. P.S. I Like You is no exception.     P.S. I Like You is about a girl and a boy in high school. They can’t stand each other. One day in gym class Cade makes up nickname that has haunted Lily all through high school. From that day forward, Cade and Lily have been sworn enemies. In order to get through high school under the radar, Lily keeps to herself and writes songs in her notebook. It… Read more »

I liked Nightshades. It was a very quick read. For this review, I am going to do something different. I think for such a fast short read my review is going to be short and sweet. I am going to list the things liked and the things I didn’t like about Nightshades.   Things I liked about Nightshades: It was short and therefore a very quick read. I liked the different take on vampires. These are not shiny misunderstood beings. The vampires are just like humans in a way. Some vampires are evil and some just want to do the… Read more »

[ARC Review] Shadow Rider by Christine Feehan

This book took me a while to finish. I have to say Stefano Ferraro gets it right about one thing; he is a hard man to love. In the end, I couldn’t help but like him and even sigh with happiness for Francesca and Stefano. Stefano is very alpha and kind of a throwback to the old alpha male ways.  No, Stefano isn’t a gangster but he is a throwback to Godfather ways when it comes to women.  He has this very dominating presence, demands nothing less than obedience, and of course, has no patience for people who question him. … Read more »
