This week’s topic is: Ten Things I Like/Dislike about Romances   Bry: Bahaha, I definitely have to go the DISLIKE route with this one. Sorry Romance lovers. I’m going to sound like a total cynic below, I know, so I feel the need to point out that I actually love romance in real life! Just not in my books. 1. Romance in general: I’m not a shipper, and I don’t generally root for the romance in a book. Sure, its nice when love interests… Read more »

Welcome to Top Ten Tuesday! Top Ten Tuesday is brought to you by The Broke and the Bookish! This week’s topic is: Ten Books I’d Like to Read with a Book Club Bry: I’m not personally huge on the ideas of a book club. As fast as I read, I just feel like as soon as I committed to a bunch of people to read something, I wouldn’t be able to for whatever reason. But the books listed below are books that I would just love to have discussions about with other people! 1. The Girl with All the Gifts by M. R. Carey:… Read more »

Welcome to Top Ten Tuesday! Top Ten Tuesday is brought to you by The Broke and the Bookish! This week’s topic is: Ten 2014 Releases I Wanted to Read but Didn’t Get To   Bry: This list is primarily of books that showed up for ARC review that I either missed, was declined for (usually territory rights), or that came in corrupt/unreadable files. There were so many books to read this past year, but these are the ones that slipped my grasp. 1. The French Executioner by C.C Humphreys: I got about 50% through this book before my ARC expired and wouldn’t progress… Read more »

I haven’t heard of anything so far coming out this year that I’m over the moon about yet, but there is plenty of time for that.
