I just have to say Defending Taylor didn’t disappoint. I read this book in one day. It is one of those short breezy books that grab you and don’t let go until the end.       I once heard someone I think it was another adult, say they didn’t like read because the parents are never around or they look stupid. I didn’t know what to say to that because it is true the parents are hardly ever around in YA. You know what I say now: so what. Even in Gilmore Girls Rory had to go off on… Read more »

I read the first book in this series, Fly With Me, in two sittings.  Luckily, I had won a copy of Into the Blue in a giveaway so I was able to dive right into this book.  I have to say I devoured this book.  I had both books read in one weekend.  I am now in so much like with these fighter pilots now, it’s not even funny!!!   Into the Blue stars Eric, Noah’s friend from Fly With Me.  Eric and the rest of the squadron are still rolling from the events that took place at the end… Read more »

I really liked this book.   I started this book not knowing what to expect but from the page I was hooked.  It was sexy as all get out.  But, it had depth too.   That makes Fly With Me my favorite kind of romance.   I really liked this story about a whirlwind romance and deciding if you can make it work for love.       The thing I liked most about this book is that it doesn’t glamorize what being a military wife, fiancée, or girlfriend is all about.   It is not a 24hr fantasy staring a hot guy in… Read more »

[ARC Review] All Chained Up by Sophie Jordan

This story wasn’t about a guy in prison that got framed. Nor, is it a story about a man trying to solve some problem with gangs when he gets out of prison. It is a story about a guy who made and has been paying for it ever since. Was this my favorite Sophie Jordan book? No. I can’t gush and love every book she writes. There wasn’t some big mystery or nonstop action. I didn’t end up hating this book it was just a sweet romance about two people learning to open up and find love. All Chain Up… Read more »

After I have had more time to think about how I feel after reading this book, I find myself giving it more of a 3 star rating than a 4 star. I felt that the story started out strong. It is about a guy named Thomas who can’t remember a thing about his mother’s murder. He meets up with Charlotte the only person in town to give him the time of day and they begin looking into the death of his murder. I like the idea of a who done it murder mystery with some sexy romance thrown in. I… Read more »

[Review] Wild Reckless by Ginger Scott

I have to admit that Wild Reckless was on my radar after I saw it as a nominee on Goodreads Choice Awards. Then I read the synopsis and I thought this was a book right up my alley. I am sure if you have read my reviews then you know by now that I am sucker for all things romance. Wild Reckless is about a new girl falling for the town bad boy. I don’t know it was a good story but I just felt it was pretty generic. After I spent time going over my thoughts I realized that… Read more »

[ARC Review] Walk Through Fire by Kristen Ashley

This year I have become a big fan of Kristen Ashley. I love the men and women that make up the world of Chaos MC. That being said, I liked Walk Through Fire but I didn’t love it. It did take me a while to get through this book because while liked Millie and High’s story I just didn’t connect with it the way I did with the story in Ride Steady. I think what kept this book from dropping below four stars is that cast of supporting characters I have come to love so much. I love the antics… Read more »

[Review] Rome by Jay Crownover

It is official I am addicted to the stories of the men and women the Marked Men series. It was this book that sealed the deal. I liked Rule and Jet but, Oh Man, I really liked Rome. Rome is a moody ex-soldier trying to find a place for himself in civilian life. Cora is colorful, a loud mouth, and just wants to find her happily ever after. I liked this book so much because while it was moody and both characters could be jerks. I liked that were “perfectly imperfect” together.   Rome is Rule’s brother from book one… Read more »

I feel like this book has been on the top of to read pile for a while now. I don’t know why I didn’t pick it up. I am glad I did because in the end I liked it and I know there will be more men from the Marked series in my future.     Rule was a little hard for me to get into at first but I think that was because I picked up this book trying to get over a book hangover from the book I had just read. Once I got into this book and… Read more »

First let me say that I got this book out of my very first subscription box from The Bookworm Box. The Bookworm Box is a book subscription box that you order and receive once a month. The Bookworm Box was started by Colleen Hoover and other awesome people. The most awesome thing about The Bookworm Box is that all the proceeds after overhead costs go the charity of the month. When I heard about this book box I knew I had to sign up. The box is usually made up of adult contemporary romance novels. If that is not your… Read more »
