I love Sophie Jordan and I will read anything she writes!!! I liked Hell Breaks Loose but sadly I didn’t love this book. It started out as something I thought I would absolutely love but it ended up just being okay.   The President’s daughter is kidnapped. Grace is being held by a bunch of low life goons. Reid has just escaped prison to kill the man who sent him there. Of course, I don’t really need to explain where the story is going from here. It is one of those the enemy of my enemy type stories. Reid has… Read more »

I don’t how Kasie West does it but she always manages to write these cute romances that leave my heart all a flutter. P.S. I Like You is no exception.     P.S. I Like You is about a girl and a boy in high school. They can’t stand each other. One day in gym class Cade makes up nickname that has haunted Lily all through high school. From that day forward, Cade and Lily have been sworn enemies. In order to get through high school under the radar, Lily keeps to herself and writes songs in her notebook. It… Read more »

I am sure it comes as no surprise that I love all things romance. I will read anything as long as it has even a hint of romance. Over the past couple of years I have become a big fan of Maya Rodale. Her books are sweet, very sexy, and guaranteed to have that happily ever after I am looking for. When I saw Maya Rodale had new romance out, I was like sign me up because I am all over that.   Chasing Lady Amelia was everything I hoped it would be. I truly fell into some serious like… Read more »

I read the first book in this series, Fly With Me, in two sittings.  Luckily, I had won a copy of Into the Blue in a giveaway so I was able to dive right into this book.  I have to say I devoured this book.  I had both books read in one weekend.  I am now in so much like with these fighter pilots now, it’s not even funny!!!   Into the Blue stars Eric, Noah’s friend from Fly With Me.  Eric and the rest of the squadron are still rolling from the events that took place at the end… Read more »

They say all good things must come to an end.     Forevermore is the last book in Darkest London series.   While I have enjoyed the side characters finding love in the last couple of books, it was great to go back to the trio of sisters and their long lost brother who started it all.  Forevermore was about Sin the brother of Miranda, Daisy and Poppy.  Sin has been made into a Judgement angel.  His first real assignment is to watch over Layla his mentor’s charge.  But, Sin means more to Layla than just a bodyguard.  Sin is her… Read more »

I really liked this book.   I started this book not knowing what to expect but from the page I was hooked.  It was sexy as all get out.  But, it had depth too.   That makes Fly With Me my favorite kind of romance.   I really liked this story about a whirlwind romance and deciding if you can make it work for love.       The thing I liked most about this book is that it doesn’t glamorize what being a military wife, fiancée, or girlfriend is all about.   It is not a 24hr fantasy staring a hot guy in… Read more »

[ARC Review] Shadow Rider by Christine Feehan

This book took me a while to finish. I have to say Stefano Ferraro gets it right about one thing; he is a hard man to love. In the end, I couldn’t help but like him and even sigh with happiness for Francesca and Stefano. Stefano is very alpha and kind of a throwback to the old alpha male ways.  No, Stefano isn’t a gangster but he is a throwback to Godfather ways when it comes to women.  He has this very dominating presence, demands nothing less than obedience, and of course, has no patience for people who question him. … Read more »

First off I have to say, oh man, this book was good.  A coworker of mine asked me what this book was about the other day.  I said it was a coming of age with some romance thrown in.  She said it sounded predictable.  You know what that is not bad thing.  I like that this book was predictable and I knew that no matter what happened in between the heroine was going to make it through. The Problem With Forever is about a girl named Mallory and Mallory has had really tragic past.  She was a foster kid who… Read more »

I don’t know why this book took me so long to read.  I think it was because I was going through a bit of slump last month.   When I saw My Lady Jane was out on audiobook I decided to use my audible credit and give it a go.  I can honestly the audiobook did not disappoint.  I ended absolutely loving this book.  I listened to My Lady Jane in the car and in my office at work.  I know there were times people were staring at me because I could not stop laughing.  This book was so funny there… Read more »

[Audiobook Review] Ruined by Amy Tintera

I think this book is more of a 3.5 star kind of read but I have rounded up because I did like the ending so much. I listened to this audiobook and maybe things got lost in translation but it was hard for me get into it at first. I really had to power through. Let me say not because of the narrator, Emily Rankin does decent job making the story come alive. Once, I got to the middle of the book the rest of the story was addicting. I flew right through it. Ruined isn’t anything new in YA… Read more »
